Earth, 2050.

The world is in a state of impending chaos. Fear of war looms over citizens' heads, and a sad economical state leaves most in complete poverty. Pollution is thick in the air, and our planet's resources are nearing their end. Organized crime on the streets has increased a ten-fold, and once friendly neighborhoods have turned dangerous at first night fall.

Amidst the disarray linger the shadows of our world's past. Slowly but silently; Vampires and Lycans, among other species, have found their way into modern human society. Some threaten to abolish it, while others strive to protect the "old" way of life. In order to survive in these new times, however, change and sacrifice must be made. New alliances must be formed, and a new law must be written.

The feud between Lord and Master begins - Who will be the leaders into this new, foreboding world? Who will strike new laws, raise new flags, and govern the ways of those born of the night? Who will decide - will we raise our masks and live known to the humans, or venture on under these thin veils of humanity?

For now, the Masquerade continues... Humans go on unknowing of their unseen brethren, and their companions watch on from the shadows, ready to strike at the first, opportune moment. But for how long can this dance of lies and perception go on? It is up to you to pursue or deny this revolution..

	New Orleans, Louisiana Having been loosely dubbed the "City of the Damned" in recent years, the New Orleans' French Quarter has become the Supernatural hot spot of the world. Vampires, Lycans, Demons, and the many other Creatures of the Veil, gather here freely on a regular basis. Most are simply visiting, while many others, primarily renegade Vampires and Lycans who have no opinion in regards to the "Revolution," call it home. Though while consistently referred to as a safe and neutral zone among the rivaling species, neutrality does not always run it's course through the old, lamp lit streets, as violence and chaos are at a new time high.. While the exact Vampiric Population is, and always will be, a mystery, it is believed that it consists of nearly half of the city's residents. Generally, Paris is considered the capital to the Vampiric revolution, as it is home to many of the young and ambitious.
